🌱 The wonders of Ecuador🌲

In Ecuador it is possible to experience all kinds of climates; the temperature ranges from extremes of heat, as occurs in the internal zone of the Coast and in the jungle areas of the East, to extremes of cold in the snowy peaks of the Cordillera.

Ecuador's flora and fauna are very rich and varied thanks to the different climates and the biodiversity of the four ecosystems.

In this video I leave you some of the best known destinations in Ecuador.

I recommend some destinations in Ecuador below:

The Society of Jesus

Located in the heart of Quito, the Church of the Society of Jesus, or “La Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús,” is perhaps the best known of the capital’s famed cathedrals. Built in the early 1600s, the church’s design is considered a premier example of Baroque architecture in the New World. The expansive use of gold leaf throughout the central nave of the church is breathtaking.

Cotopaxi

Cotopaxi is the second highest summit in Ecuador, reaching a height of 5,897 m (19,347 ft). The volcano has one of the few equatorial glaciers in the world, which starts at the height of 5,000 meters (16,400 ft). Its snow covered peak is clearly visible from Quito. Cotopaxi is also one of the highest active volcanoes in the world with more than 50 eruptions since 1738, although its present activity is limited to a few steam fumaroles.

Devil's nose

The Nariz del Diablo, or “Devil’s Nose,” describes the train line between the towns of Alausi and Sibambe. The track gets its name from the great cost of human life that it took to complete the train line. One of the most astounding engineering projects ever undertaken in the mountainous Andes, the stretch of track offers visitors sweeping panoramic views of the countryside. A series of switchbacks slowly takes the train up a steep ascent to Alausi.

The Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve, established in 1979, will appeal to travelers who want to combine the scenic beauty of tropical scenery with wildlife viewing. Is a natural attraction located 15 kilometers from the city of Zumbahua and is characterized by the icy winds that blow through the place. The crater of the inactive Quilotoa volcano forms a bowl that collects the blue waters of the lagoon, which owe their color to the accumulation of sulfur.Camping is allowed at the bottom of the crater, although there is no drinking water (except for the half-liter bottles sold in the hostels), but there are bathrooms with toilets and urinals for both men and women.

The Seven Waterfalls of El Zapanal

An energetic bath in the middle of the rainforest is the main attraction offered by the Seven Waterfalls of Zapanal, a destination located six hours south of Quito, in the Pangua canton, subtropical of the province of Cotopaxi, According to accounts of the inhabitants of the sector, these waterfalls originated after the El Niño phenomenon of 1982, when there was a strong flood that cleared the mountain and originated the seven waterfalls.
